
While the vast majority of our clients subscribe to our Strategic Managed Portfolio option, we recognize that some clients prefer to lock in prices for an extended period of time, or to self manage their hedges. If this is your preference, PRI can still provide you superior service, a cut above what you get elsewhere, through the Self Managed Portfolio option.
Among the many services provided to Self Managed Portfolio clients are:
- Consult with you regarding desired and recommended hedging time frame
- Provide information regarding strengths and weaknesses of various suppliers.
- Issue RFPs per your requirements.
- Evaluate proposals/contracts;
- Apples-to-apples price comparisons considering all the components.
- Comparing contract clauses, as even a small change -- to supplier's risk assessment, for example -- can affect the client's price.
- Customized contract terms; i.e. if the sale of a facility is anticipated, a clause allowing that should be included.
- Verify that the client is taking advantage of the best rate class available, the best metering options and the best service riders.
- Advise on opportunities to extend/increase hedges and/or renew contracts based on market trends.
The big difference between the services provided to the Strategic Managed Portfolio and the Self Managed Portfolio comes after a supplier is chosen and contracts are signed. PRI takes an active role in the daily management and energy purchasing for Strategic Managed Portfolio clients. In either case, we are always there to answer any question or respond to any crisis.
